SAIF DIRECTIONS
CPD - Continuing Professional Development
SAIF is excited to announce the implementation of a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points programme – SAIF DIRECTIONS.

SAIF DIRECTIONS will allow you to plan and record your own professional development and take control of your professional future.  This will show your employers, donors and the general public that they can have confidence in your value as a fundraising practitioner, committed to your profession

SAIF DIRECTIONS
target for the 2007 membership year is 50 points and when you reach or exceed this personal target, SAIF will acknowledge this by awarding you a Certificate of Achievement.  Just by renewing your membership you will receive 6 points, so that you can be well on your way to reaching your target!

Further points can be earned for activities such as attending Branch meetings, serving on a SAIF committee, or writing an article for the SAIF newsletter.  And one of the biggest awards of
SAIF DIRECTIONS points this year will be for attending the SAIF Convention in Johannesburg in September. We are also including acknowledgement of your fundraising educational achievements and experience

SAIF DIRECTIONS runs according to the membership year, which is from April to March. Points earned will be captured on your personal membership record and at the SAIF National Office, so make sure your name and membership number is recorded every time you attend a SAIF function.

A Record Card for your personal use will be available here for downloading shortly
