Certificate of Achievement to Joy Mills-Hackman

A Certificate of Achievement was awarded to Joy Catherine Mills-Hackman for her outstanding contribution to Development and poverty alleviation of Communities in KwaZulu Natal. 

The KZN Branch Chairman, Gordon McDonald accepted the award on Joy's behalf and presented the Award to her at a Branch Function.

 


"Exceptional Individual Service Award" to Ann Bown

At the 6th African Resource Mobilisation Convention - Ann Bown was presented with an "Exceptional Individual Service Award" for her exceptional service to the Institute and Fundraising Profession. 
 She was also presented a with a beautiful picture of the "Big Five"
Ann has just completed two years volunteer leadership as the President of SAIF and is currently the chairperson of the SAIF Education and Training team, which is leading the way forward towards formal accreditation and training of professional resource development managers.

Ann is a fundraising/public relations management consultant to NonProfit organisations and a senior associate of Brakeley Limited, an international fundraising and management consultancy, as well as the interim coordinator of the Giving and Sharing Campaign - a national initiative to highlight, honour and strengthen volunteerism and philanthropy in South Africa.

She became involved in the sector as a concerned citizen some 20 years ago to address issues relating to the upliftment of farm schools and the plight of South African children in general.  She has been associated with numerous organisations and causes since, which includes women's issues, education, the aged, conservation, youth programs and many more.

Ann holds a Certificate in Fundraising Management from UNISA, Small Business Management from Wits Business School and various diplomas and certificates in public relations, public speaking, marketing and the arts.
